If you are fluent in RSS, you might want to set up a feed from the City of Austin Traffic Reports RSS link: http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/qact/qact_rss.cfm

You will get up to-the-minute alerts on collisions, slowdowns, and detours in the Austin metro area. If you are set up to receive RSS feeds on your cell phone or PDA, you can get these alerts as you are driving (though I disavow responsibility, should you be the cause of one of the collisions which end up in your alerts!)
