A Capital Metro passenger train made an appearance at the Leander train station last Saturday. Metro rail service in Leander is expected to begin in the fall. The line will have the ability to take passengers all the way to San Antonio.

Actually, Capital MetroRail will travel 32 miles from Leander to Downtown Austin with 9 stations. The Austin-San Antonio Intermunicipal Commuter Rail District is planning regional commuter rail service from San Antonio to Georgetown.
