This small news item on the front page of The Hill Country News print edition, May 7, caught my eye:
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office was contacted on May 4 about a "large cat" seen in South Williamson County.
The large cat, possibly a mountain lion, was seen in the area of Great Oaks and Racine Drive in the Brushy Creek Subdivision around 11 a.m. on Sunday. A resident took a picture of the cat's tail as it wandered off behind a tree. It is unclear from the picture exactly what kind of cat it is.
Anyone who sees any large cats should call 911.
